CUB AT EAST WINCH.

The Cub is now all ready. A superb job done by Guy Appelback and his staff at

Scanrho Aviation on East Winch Airfield.

FLIGHT TO BAGBY.

It was a beautifull daywhen I had the opportunity to fly the Cub back to North

Yorkshire. The flight was very pleasant and everything worked fine. Landing at Bagby, Ingrid was there to welcome me and the Cub.

This is just a quick report for you on today's little get-together at Sherburn. Well, as planned, Mike Mothershaw and I did fly in to this long-established and thriving GA field and there we joined three vintage Pipers together with their pilot/owners, all of whom are based in Yorkshire....definitely north of the Wash! The weather was lovely and there at Sherburn we five VPACers downed much coffee, enjoyed a fine lunch and definitely enjoyed each other's company. All in all, a fine day was had by all concerned. Here are a few pics to give you the idea and in the second of these we have, from left to right: Mike Mothershaw, Richard Keech, Lukas van Vuuren, David Sharp and Frank Ward.

Ingrid & Guy

Last weekend Ingrid and I went down to East Winch airfield near Kings Lynn to take a look at our newly restored Super Piper Cub, the first time since it had been restored by Guy Appelbäck. Ingrid, who is the proud owner of the Cub is delighted with the results.

Soon, the Cub will be making its way back to Bagby airfield in North Yorkshire - hopefully the good weather will hold for some good flying conditions. Fortunately, Guy connected the warm cabin air control that can make flying in colder weather a pleasure.

We'll keep you posted on progress!
